Had a good lunch with some friends from out of town. We sat out back and it was great but we where very surprised when the acorns started falling on the sheet metal roof above us. Despite that the meal was good. The chicken fingers where frozen but not bad. The French dip was where it was at though! The turkey club was okay and the fries and onion rings where okay too. The special roast beef sliders where on point. They went too fast to get a picture of though. The waitress was super friendly and down to earth 10/10 would recommend for service.

Nothing on the menu is bad. I go out of my way to try different wings in the Boston area, and these are some of the best wings I’ve had in general. Great beer selection, always a great crowd, and a great staff. Good for post work beer or lunch break and excellent watching any sporting event.

Lived the waitress, Nikki! Very thorough and thoughtful. The food is EXCELLENT. Most is in the fridge right now we because the portions are sizable! Try the NECC (chowdah).

This is truly a neighborhood place. My first time here, I was wildly surprised by how good the roast beef sandwich was, so I went back fully intending to repeat the experience. Lo and behold, they had a special Irish menu for St. Patrick ...

My wife and I were in from out of town for New Balance Indoor Track Nationals. It was the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. The place was packed with a crowd of what I assume were mostly regular customers from the area. We squeezed in and sat on some bar stools by the window. I needed to have my wife ask to get the Big East Men’s Basketball Championship game on one of their TVs because I had laryngitis and could barely speak loud enough to be heard. Anyway, long story short, the owner came over and started razzing me in a good natured way about being a St.John’s fan in Boston. We bantered back and forth for several minutes, sharing stories about our backgrounds, and then he bought us a round. He treated us like old friends, as did several other people in the bar. It’s the most welcome I’ve ever been made to feel in any establishment, and there have been plenty. On top of that there were a good selection of cold beers on tap and the food was great. If you’re ever in that area and love excellent local bars with friendly people, then give Donohue’s a visit. I’ll definitely make it my business to go back there whenever I’m in Boston.

This is my favorite local bar/pub where I can grab dinner, a drink, or to unwind. Love the patio any time it’s open—it’s the only place that’s ever really quiet. The booths inside give a little sound protection from eager sports fans. All of the staff are so friendly. The food is very reliable—there’s a dish that’s a miss for me every now and then, but my favorites are always great! My go-tos are ziti with chicken and broccoli, shepherd’s pie, and chicken quesadillas. Drinks have a nice variety with the regularly rotating taps. The mimosas (so much bubbly!) and triple double at brunch are amazing too!

Stopped in with my wife for a late lunch and sat at the bar. The food, cocktails, and service was top notch. Food and service is always consistent. Staff is friendly and attentive. Can't wait until Taco Tuesday!

Totally cool local place. We're out of towners, so I was a bit nervous of going to a local sports bar while waiting to visit a friend. But happy local place playing 60's and 70's happy music. Not too loud. Food good. Come for the atmosphere though! Great surprise.
